2. Our Commitment to User Privacy

At ITVDesk, protecting the privacy and security of your information is our top priority. We only collect the minimum amount of data required to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

In addition to standard billing information, our application collects only the hostname and a unique Hardware ID (HWID) specific to each computer. This information is used solely for licence activation and maintenance.

Users who prefer not to share this data may use the offline activation option, allowing full product use without sending any information to our servers except for order and invoice data.

You may request the removal of your personal data at any time. ITVDesk provides a clear and straightforward process for managing, accessing, or deleting your data.

3. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We collect personal information to:

• Process customer orders and issue invoices
• Provide licence activation and product support
• Improve our products and communication with users

Processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) of the GDPR — necessary for the performance of a contract (licence purchase and activation) and for compliance with legal obligations (invoice issuance).

In special circumstances, we may use or disclose personal information for law enforcement, investigations, protection of our legal rights, or business acquisitions.

4. Data Collected

• Name and surname / Company name
• Address and Tax ID (OIB/VAT number)
• E-mail address (for invoices and licence delivery)
• Hardware ID (HWID) and hostname — used for online licence validation only

No other data such as IP addresses, camera feeds, locations, or telemetry is collected, all data private and encripted.

5. Data Retention

Personal data related to invoicing are retained for up to 11 years as required by Croatian accounting regulations. Licence activation data (HWID, hostname) are stored only for the duration of the active licence and are then permanently deleted.

6. Third Parties and Data Sharing

Personal data are not shared with any third parties except:

• Our accounting service for lawful bookkeeping purposes,
• Stripe payment processor for secure online transactions,
• Law enforcement or government authorities when legally required.

7. Website Technology

Our website may use cookies to improve browsing functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work properly.

All data are stored on secure servers with encryption (TLS 1.2+) and access control. HWID and licence data are encrypted and accessible only to authorized personnel.
