Multi-Windows User Support in ITVDesk

ITVDesk fully supports multiple simultaneously logged-in Windows users, including Fast User Switching, RDP, and terminal server environments.

How it works

Each logged-in Windows user runs their own ITVDesk instance inside their user session.

All application settings are isolated per user (stored in the user’s AppData), so there is no shared configuration or profile conflict.

ITVDesk automatically detects free network ports and assigns dedicated ONVIF and RTSP ports per user instance.

As a result, each Windows user session appears as a separate ONVIF IP camera, even though they run on the same physical PC.

What this means for VMS / NVR systems

Multiple ONVIF devices can be discovered or added from the same host IP.

Each device represents a different Windows user session.

Each user can stream:

their own desktop

a specific application window

a webcam

optionally with audio
independently of other users.
