The public initial release
Internet Technology Video Desktop (ITVDesk) is a specialized IP camera and network video software project that began in late 2014 with a clear technical objective: to develop a universal desktop-to-IP-camera solution fully compatible with ONVIF and RTSP standards.
During 2014–2015, development focused on core architecture, ONVIF communication modules, RTSP streaming engines, and the first desktop-capture components.
By late 2015, the software reached a stable stage suitable for internal and partner testing, including desktop-to-RTSP streaming, ONVIF device discovery, and integration with multiple VMS/NVR platforms. After more than a year of testing and refinement, the first public version of ITVDesk was officially released in January 2016.
Since then, ITVDesk has continuously evolved into a professional tool used in IT, security, and video-surveillance environments.
The name “ITVDesk” has been in uninterrupted use since the beginning of the project and represents a unique combination of IT-related functionality and desktop-based IP video streaming.
